Is this a spoken Hebrew or Ulpan course?
No. This course teaches you to read biblical Hebrew and understand translation basics. It is not modern conversational Hebrew and not an Ulpan.
How long does it take to learn to read Hebrew?
The course is structured as 2 introductory classes plus 16 regular classes. Most diligent students are reading Hebrew by class 16.
How much do lessons cost?
Hebrew Readers East Africa fees are intended to be affordable. The average cost of a class is about 400 kes.

Classes run live online over WhatsApp and Google Meet. All you need is an internet connection and a phone or computer.
What language is the course taught in?
Instruction is given in English and Kiswahili.
Do I get a certificate?
Yes. Once you complete all four reader levels and the final assessment, you receive a Certificate of Achievement.
How big are the classes?
Classes are capped at 12 students so everyone reads aloud every session.
What if I have never read a Hebrew letter before?
That's the normal starting point. The two introductory classes and the White/Red reader level start from the alphabet itself.
